How Resilient Are You?
Resilience is described as the ability to regain equilibrium or recover when faced with adversity. I call myself "cultured" or "adaptable". Individuals that are resilient are often more self-confident, with the ability to recognize personal strengths and abilities. If resilience is low or almost absent, failures and setbacks are more than likely to drain energy and motivation. This can lead to depression and other mental health disorders. One might feel as if they have failed or are unable to cope. One must try to be resilient to cope with stress in positive ways to rebound more quickly. It is all in the approach and that can be individualized and customized according to daily events.
